Grow Your Donor Base

ALMA is a modern donation platform with more than 10,000 users — and growing fast! Claim Smithsonian's profile to become an ALMA partner, customize your page and unlock growth tools to amplify your fundraising efforts.

A community of 10k+ givers

Unlike other platforms, ALMA isn't just a fundraising tool. We are actively growing our user base of generous and conscious givers supporting great causes.

Our community is all over the country, and actively looking to support great charities.

Build and enrich your profile

We've spent hundreds of hours talking to donors to understand what information they really want when they first discover a charity (hint: it's not all the financial metrics Charity Navigator provides). Your profile on ALMA is the ideal way to showcase your work to the world.

Powerful donation tools

We allow you to process donations by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and more. Donors can give right from your profile, or you can embed our donation tools on your own website. Plus, we issue the tax receipts on your behalf to cut down on admin time. All for free.

Donor insights

Learn about where your donors came from, thank them and engage them further. Donors can choose to share their contact information directly so you can add them to your newsletters.

No monthly fees or setup cost

ALMA doesn't charge any fees for using our platform. We rely on donors choosing to tip us when they donate to support our platform. The only fees are the (at most) 3% we get charged by our payment providers.

97% goes to your organization.

Stand out when it matters

Our search engine can support searches by cause, so potential donors might see your profile next to similar organizations. This is when you'll want a really compelling profile! No matter your size or age, we'll help your story shine.

Our Story

After many years volunteering and working at nonprofits, we saw firsthand the struggle of fundraising churn. The constant drumbeat of finding new donors, engaging existing donors, and hitting yearly targets.

We also saw an opportunity to create a better experience for donors — where donors feel more empowered about where their money is going and how it is being spent.

We built ALMA to try something new: a platform focused primarily on the donor experience. Donors want easier ways to search, vet and support nonprofits. Donors want all their tax receipts in one place. Donors want guidance on how, when, where and how much to donate. ALMA provides all of that, all in one place.

We want to partner with you to bring your organization to our donors. Learn more about our story on Medium.

We’re so glad you’re here, and can’t wait to support your organization.
